GDYNIA: Maciej Sobieszczański’s debut feature The Reconciliation will be showcased in the main competition of the 42nd Gdynia Film Festival (18-23 September 2017). The film is a love story set in Silesia at the beginning of 1945.
WARSAW: Krzysztof Lang is currently in postproduction with Sleep Darling / Ach śpij kochanie, a crime drama inspired by one of the most notorious Polish serial killers.
WARSAW: The new drama by Oscar-winning Polish director Paweł Pawlikowski Cold War has been acquired by Amazon Studios. The film is set in Poland of the 50s and 60s. Pawlikowski told FNE that the film tells the story of two young people and their difficult love in those times.
WARSAW: Adrian Panek is currently shooting his second feature film Werewolf, set in the aftermath of WWII. This Polish/Dutch/German coproduction is scheduled to be released in 2018.
RZESZÓW: The Subcarpathian Regional Film Fund chose four new projects to support with a total of 140,358 EUR / 600,000 PLN. Among these productions, which will promote the region and its film professionals, are Krzysztof Zanussi's and Paweł Pawlikowski’s new projects.
WROCLAW: Western, a German/Bulgarian/Austrian coproduction directed by Valeska Grisebach, won both the International Competition Grand Prize and the FIPRESCI Award at the 17th T-Mobile New Horizons International Film Festival. The festival took place from 3 to 13 August 2017.
WROCŁAW: Nine Polish projects currently in production and postproduction were showcased during the last day of Polish Days, an industry event held at T-Mobile New Horizons IFF (3-13 August 2017). The list includes new projects by Łukasz Palkowski, Bartek Konopka and Bodo Kox.

WROCŁAW: Twenty participants of the New Horizons Studio+ presented their projects during a special pitching session held on 8 August 2017 in Wrocław.
WROCŁAW: The 8th edition of New Horizons Studio+ introduces a new format, inviting 20 participants from Europe for training in film PR and marketing. The event will take place from 5 to 8 August 2017 within the 17th T-Mobile New Horizons IFF.
