Czech Republic 05-06-2017ZLIN: A German/Italian coproduction for the youth audience, Mountain Miracle – The Unexpected Friendship directed by Tobias Wiemann, won the Golden Slipper for the Best International Feature Film at 57th Zlin IFF for Children and Youth, which took place 26 May - 3 July 2017.
Poland Reorganises Polish National Film Archive and National Audiovisual Institute into New Institution
Poland 02-06-2017WARSAW: On 1 June 2017 the Polish Minister Of Culture And National Heritage Piotr Gliński merged the two leading film institutions, Polish National Film Archive and the National Audiovisual Institute, into one unit named National Film Archive - Audiovisual Institute. Katarzyna Chałubińska - Jentkiewicz was named the Director of the new institution.

Czech Republic 29-05-2017ZLIN: Elisa's World of Wonder, a Czech/British/Canadian coproduction for the young audience directed by Monica and Pino Foris, was showcased at the Works In Progress at the 57th International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlin, which runs through 3 June 2017.
CANNES: Kuba Czekaj was awarded the Krzysztof Kieślowski Prize for Best Eastern European Script for his project Sorry, Poland during the 70th Cannes IFF.
