PRAGUE: Director/scriptwriter Marta Nováková is in postproduction with 8 Heads of Madness, a feature based on the life of the Russian poet Anna Alexandrovna Barkova (1901-1976), who spent 22 years in the Soviet Gulags.
PRAGUE: The Czech State Cinematography Fund has announced the support for production of six Czech feature films, out of 22 projects which applied.
PRAGUE: Czech comedy Life is Life/Život je život directed by Milan Cieslar has topped the Czech box office in its second week of release. The film released in 142 copies has racked up a total of 135, 678 admissions since its release on 21 May by Bontonfilm.

PRAGUE: Jan Macola studied International Relations and Political Science at Charles University in Prague. He worked for Barrandov Studios as the Head of Marketing and Head of Acquisitions and Development From 2006 to 2011, a period of major international productions including Casino Royale, The Chronicles of Narnia or the series Borgia. In 2010 Jan participated in the Screen Leaders EU training program and in 2014 in the EAVE European Producers Workshop.
