PRAGUE: The documentary workshop dok.incubator has announced four selected projects for the 2022 edition of the Czech workshop. The projects were brought to Prague for the first in-person session and started working on their goal - to be ready for cinemas in 2023.
CANNES: Phoenix Worldwide has picked up world sales excluding Poland and Italy to award winning director Lech Majewski’s film Brigitte Bardot Forever, which Phoenix will introduce to international buyers in Cannes as well as festival programmers.

BUCHAREST: The Bucharest based VPX Studios created by lighting and sound equipment supplier Marbo Trade together with Buftea Studios has become one of the first virtual production studios in Romania.
VALLETTA: Cinema City, a five day film event in the Maltese capital of Valletta, will showcase both international and Maltese producers at free outdoor screenings from 24 to 28 May.

This year’s Cannes Film Festival will take place from 17 to 28 May. With Fantasy, her first film in development, the Slovenian director Katarina Rešek – Kukla was selected as one of the six promising young directors to participate in the Residence programme, a part of the Cinéfondation programme.
WARSAW: Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski’s EO, which will screen in Competition in Cannes (17-28 May 2022), has been acquired by French distributor ARP Selection. HanWay Films is handling worldwide sales.
