BUCHAREST: Wild Romania / România sălbatică by Dan Dinu and Cosmin Dumitrache, the most complex documentary project on Romanian nature, will stream on HBO Max starting 12 May 2022. It will also be available on HBO starting July 2022.

RIGA: Baltic Sea Forum for Documentaries welcomes applications for its 26th edition till 10 June 2022. The most important documentary training and pitching event in the Baltic countries will be held in Riga 5–11 September 2022.

BUCHAREST: The new long animated film The Island by Anca Damian has been sold by Best Friend Forever to Eurozoom in France. The coproduction between Romania, France and Belgium has been selected for the main competition of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, running (13-18 June 2022).

TALLINN: The European Audiovisual Observatory will hold a hybrid conference in Tallin on 7 June 2022 under the Estonian Presidency. The event will bring together industry representatives from major creative sectors in European film and television.

Baltic Sea Forum for Documentaries (BSD) is the most important documentary training and pitching event in the Baltic countries, taking place in Riga, Latvia. The 26th edition is scheduled to take place in Riga from 5 – 11 September 2022. The call for projects is open now and will close on 10 June

PODGORICA: The fifth anniversary of the Film Centre of Montenegro (FCCG) is an opportunity for FNE to speak with Aleksandra Božović, Head of FCCG, about the accomplishments and the plans of the Centre, all the more since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic has opened the doors for the film industry.

BUCHAREST: The 15th edition of the One World Romania Film Festival will screen 68 films in 14 categories from 13 to 22 May 2022 in a physical format, and from 23 to 31 May 2022 online. Eleven films have been selected for the International Competition.

NICOSIA: Cypriot writers/directors Corinna Avraamidou and Kyriacos Tofarides are currently in postproduction with Iman, a 100% Cypriot drama produced by AB Seahorse Film Productions.

BUDAPEST: Kristóf Deák's debut feature Captives / Foglyok is currently screening in over 15 cinemas in the Netherlands, where it was released on 28 April 2022.

WARSAW: The Long animated film Hug Me - The Movie, the first long film by Polish visual artist Anna Błaszczyk, has been acquired by Urban Sales, which will showcase it at Cannes’ Marché du Film.
