Open Call for 3rd LINE-UP: International Academy & Networking for Festival Managers
Romania 23-02-2025SIBIU: The ESTE FILM Festival, taking place in Sibiu, Romania, has launched an open call for the 3rd edition of LINE-UP: International Academy & Networking for Festival Managers, which will be held 29 – 30 May 2025 within the 9th edition of the festival (28 May – 1 June 2025).
Today were announced the winners of the CICAE Arthouse Cinema Awards at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival. Recognizing exceptional artistry and storytelling in independent cinema, the CICAE Arthouse Cinema Awards are given at major international festivals by an international jury of arthouse cinema exhibitors and programmers, and aim at bringing high-quality films to the arthouse cinemas. The Jury is composed of arthouse cinema exhibitors and members of the association, who apply through our website to become part of this initiative. In the case of Berlinale, the festival hosts yearly two CICAE juries, one for the Panorama Section, and a second one for the Forum Section.

Festivals 23-02-2025The 3nd edition of LINE-UP: International Academy & Networking for Festival Managers will take place between May 29 and 30, 2025, in Sibiu, as part of ESTE FILM Festival, where the selected participants will take part in various workshops and panels, being given the opportunity to refine their festival management skills under the guidance of a team of high-level local and international experts. The event will also be an opportunity to connect, exchange experiences and project ideas, and develop joint proposals with professionals representing cultural organisations from Europe.
PRAGUE: The One World International Human Rights Film Festival has announced the full programme for its 27th edition, which will be held in Prague 12 – 20 March 2025. The festival will also reach 56 other cities across the Czech Republic.

Press releases 20-02-2025The renowned Arthouse Cinema Training (ACT) returns to Berlin for its 22nd edition from 18 to 24 August 2025, continuing to transcend borders and make a global impact in the world of cinema.
BERLIN: FNE has teamed up with FIPRESCI critics attending the Berlin Film Festival to rate the films in the Main Competition, Perspectives and Forum giving the films 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 stars. 5 is the best and 1 is the worst. The ratings give an overview of critics' opinions from a large number of countries and provide insights to what critics in many different countries think about the programme.
PRAGUE: Twelve animated projects including five series, four long films and three short films have been selected for the 7th CEE Animation Workshop, a year-long project development and producer skills advancement training programme organised by CEE Animation.
BUCHAREST: Sixteen filmmakers from countries including the Baltics, Romania and Poland have been selected for the 2025 edition of LIM (Less Is More).
