Romania 12-04-2019BUCHAREST: The 3rd American Independent Film Festival initiated by Cristian Mungiu through Asociația Cinemascop will take place in Bucharest from 12 to 18 April 2019 and in Iași (Mungiu’s home town) on 11 and 12 April 2019.
TBILISI: The acclaimed Georgian director George Ovashvili is working on two new feature films – Beautiful Elene, with preproduction set for the summer of 2019 and production for September 2019, and The Moon Is a Father of Mine, with preproduction set for the autumn of 2019 and shooting for the winter of 2020.

BUCHAREST: Stere Gulea’s Moromete Family: On the Edge of Time / Moromeții 2 was awarded best film at the 13th edition of the Gopo Gala, held at the National Theatre in Bucharest on 19 March 2019. The film was also awarded in nine other categories.
