MEDIAŞ: Agnieszka Holland's The Burning Bush received the Trophy of Mediaş Central European Film Festival (MECEFF) on 6 September 2014. Austria's Your Beauty Is Worth Nothing by Hüseyin Tabak won the Audience Award and the Romanian Luminiţa Gheorghiu received Best acting for Child's Pose by Călin Peter Netzer.
ZAGREB: The award-winning Bosnian-Croatian film director Antonio Nuić is in postproduction with Life Is Like a Trumpet/Zivot je truba, a character-driven film where drama and comedy are intertwined offering a different perspective of the same event.
BUCHAREST: The team and the general manager of MediaPro Distribution who left the company this summer launched a new company, Freeman Entertainment on 1 September 2014.
MEDIAŞ: The 4th edition of Mediaş Central European Film Festival (2-6 September 2014), the only festival in Romania focusing on the Central European cinema, will screen more than 40 films including seven titles in the main competition coming from the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia.

BUCHAREST: Chinese actor Jackie Chan will open the Chinese Film Days in Bucharest on 11 September and will be named honorary cultural Ambassador of Romanian-Chinese relations.
ZAGREB: The series Dig set to premiere on USA Network this autumn will be partially shot in Croatia for approximately two weeks starting 1 September 2014 with local company Embassy Films providing with services.

ZAGREB: The Croatian Audiovisual Centre estimates that international productions will spend almost 11m EUR in Croatia in 2014, almost as much as in 2012 and 2013 combined. Seven international projects have applied for tax incentives in the first eight months of 2014.
ZAGREB: The Croatian Film Directors Guild (DHFR) is launching a public debate about the difficult relationship between the filmmakers and the televisions, especially Croatian Radio and Television (HRT), regarding copyright laws and is preparing an official document to submit to the authorities in autumn.
