Cinematik in international cooperation

Cinematik became a member of Eye on Films network last year. With mutual cooperation of 40 festivals and 39 distribution companies and with simplifying the conditions of buying films it helps to circulate the first feature films of young European directors outside Europe and vice versa. Cinematik will screen 4 films under its head.

French-Pakistani film Noor by Çağla Zencirci and Guillaume Giovanetti is a story about a man who doesn’t want to be a member of transgender community any more. He wants to find a “real man’s job” and a girl who will accept him as he is.

Nadav Lapid’s Policeman reflects contemporary Israel. The main character is a commander at elite Anti-Terrorist unit. His wife is expecting baby in a few days, but his life changes when he is confronted with radical group of terrorists.

Rafael Lewandowski’s The Mole tries to deal with modern history in Poland. It is a story about young man Pawel who finds out that his father, a prominent dissident, was supposed to cooperate with communist secret police.

Night #1 by Anne Émond is intelligent, beautifully staged and bold study of one-night stand. In the first part of the film we can see meeting of Clara and Nikolai which ends up with lovemaking in his apartment. When Clara tries to sneak out without saying goodbye, this typical hookup takes an unexpected turn.
