An animated film about the exploits of dog detective Lotte has won the grand prize in its category at the Children's India festival.
"Lotte and the Moonstone Secret," by Heiki Ernits and Janno Põldma, took the prize in the animations category at the eighth annual festival, which is held in January in five cities on the country's central plateau, including Bangalore.
For Lotte, it was the 41st international film festival to date, and the ninth award.
The full-length animated feature was produced in 2011 by Eesti Joonisfilm studio. It was supported by the Estonian Film Foundation, the Cultural Endowment of Estonia, the Ministry of Culture and the Latvian Film Foundation.
