During a reception held Saturday night at the TESIRO Golden Bear Lounge, the ten performers from across Europe were welcomed by Richard Shen, President of TESIRO. He congratulated the actors and presented them with a spectacular jewellery keepsake, honouring their individual talents and their presence at the Berlinale.
EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS is financially supported by the MEDIA Programme of the European Union (2007 – 2013), participating EFP member territories and additional media and promotional partners.

The Chinese jewellery company TESIRO is now in its fifth year of supporting European Film Promotion´s SHOOTING STARS initiative, moreover donating the prestigious SHOOTING STARS Award, which will be given to each of the ten selected actors and celebrates their outstanding artistic achievements to date, as well as their future endeavours. This Awards Ceremony will mark the climax of a weekend of activity for the Stars in Berlin and takes place on Monday 10th February at the Berlinale Palast.

This annual showcase of exceptional international acting talent, now in its 17th year, will once again introduce to the film industry at large an extraordinary range of up and coming performers at the start of their careers.
