The director will receive the Grand Prix and the prize of 5,000€ at the closing ceremony on March 28th, 2014. The festival will invest another 5,000€ in the film's distribution support. The jury’s honorary chairman, the Oscar-winning costume designer Theodor Pistek, will bestow the award.
The film received 88 points in the jury's ballot. A special mention for the 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded to Life Feels Good (dir. Maciej Pieprzyca, 71points) and Rock the Casbah (dir. Yariw Horowitz, 40 points). None of the films was left without a point in the ballot.

Twenty-seven-year old Lou had no idea that she still had any grandparents. When her mother tells her that her grandfather has just died, the rational and reserved girl goes to his funeral. After meeting grandma Frida, she decides to stay with her in the country. The romantic tragicomedy observes human relationships with slight mischief and refers to the genre without unnecessary embellishment. Maximilian Hult as a debuting director and scriptwriter proves his narrative skills with an attention to detail. The film has already been awarded the Audience Award in Korean Pusan and the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at IFF Mannheim-Heidelberg.
The 33 members of the audience jury decided about the winner of Grand Prix. It is obvious that this film strongly appealed to this year's jury. 11 jurors voted for this film as the winner, 10 jury members awarded it silver, and 3 jurors voted for 3rd place. Above all, the jury appreciated its deeply humane story, excellent acting performances and the film's humor. The opinions of the jury members include, among others:
