The 58th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, a non-specialized festival with two competitive categories, took place from June 28th to July 6th 2024. It was organized by Film Servis Festival Karlovy Vary, a.s., with Jiří Bartoška as the president of the festival, Karel Och as its artistic director, Kryštof Mucha as the executive director and Petr Lintimer as the head of production.
The 59th Karlovy Vary IFF will be held from July 4th to July 12th 2025. On July 6th 2024, the festival’s juries presented awards for the best films at theclosing ceremony of the 58th Karlovy Vary IFF.

STATISTICS OF THE 58TH KARLOVY VARY IFF
The 58th Karlovy Vary IFF 2024 was attended by 10 769 accredited visitors. Of that number 8 726 had Festival Passes, 411 were filmmakers, 1097 accredited film professionals, and 535 journalists.
There were a total of 453 film screenings and total of 127 325 tickets were sold. A total of 177 films were screened, including 109 feature fiction films, 27 feature documentaries and 41 short films. 33 films received their world premiere, while 8 had their international premiere and 3 their European premiere. 168 screenings were personally presented by delegations of filmmakers. 92 Press & Industry screenings were held.
A total of 1097 film producers, film buyers, film sellers, distributors, film festival programmers, representatives of film institutions, and other film professionals were accredited. 439 accredited film professionals came to the festival from abroad.
A total of 41 new films and projects in development across 6 platforms were showcased to a total of 133 buyers and distributors and 127 film festival programmers.
