The newly appointed curator Lenka Tyrpakova has chosen 12 works-in-progress from the Baltics and this year's guest country – Portugal. Comprising 9 fiction films, 1 animation, 1 documentary, and 1 hybrid project, the SHORT RIGA Test Screening line-up includes emerging talents as well as experienced professionals whose previous works have been screened at Cannes, Berlinale, and Annecy.
In two pitching sessions on 25 and 26 October projects will be presented to industry experts – Florian Fernandez (Festival de Cannes / Protest Studios, France), Anna Grabo (Kurzfilm Agentur Hamburg, Germany), Andris Grants (editor, Latvia), Laurence Rilly (Arte, France) and Carla Vulpiani (Venice International Film Festival, Varicoloured Holistic Film Agency, Italy / Ireland) – who will provide in-depth, professional feedback and notes to boost chances for film's successful festival run and choose one winner of the BBPosthouse prize – post-production services worth EUR 5 000.
