The workshop and pitch sessions will be moderated by Marijke Rawie and Mikael Opstrup; editor Stan Neumann will serve as the inspirational tutor. The stellar lineup of our guests includes, among others, Niels Pagh Andersen, Paul Pauwels, Helena Třeštíková and Anders Ostergaard. More then 75 projects applied for the East European Forum. They will be assessed by a committee made up of IDF staff and international experts. The list of ten projects selected to attend the Forum will be announced September 30, 2010 at www.DOKweb.net.
EAST SILVER Doc Market
This year, the Silver Eye Award for best East European documentary films of the East Silver Market will be handed out for the second time. The international jury will select three winners in three main categories who will receive 1,500 EUR and East Silver support throughout the year.

Thanks to the partnership with DOK Leipzig, IDF selected 4 Ex Oriente Film projects that receive a free pass to attend the Co-Production Meeting at DOK Leipzig. The event focuses on establishing contacts with German co-production partners. IDF will also organize meetings between East European filmmakers who represent documentary projects in any stage of development, and industry delegates, such as distributors and buyers who will be attending the industry programme in Jihlava. 14th Jihlava IDFF (October 26 - 31, 2010) - Translucent Being András Szirtes
Jihlava IDFF will present the work of significant Hungarian filmmaker András Szirtes who will personally introduce his films in Jihlava. Besides the usual cinema hall screenings, Szirtes is preparing special audiovisual performances in the festival center.
