SOFIA: Bulgarian commercial channel bTV has initiated a lawsuit against competitor Nova TV charging it it with unfair price dumping.
According to Bulgarian new agency Novinte, bTV (owned by CME, www.cetv-net.com) based its claim against Nova(owned by Modern Times Group, www.mtg.se) on the Competition Protection Act.
In a statement, bTV Media Group said, "The selective offering of dumping prices by Nova Broadcasting Group to certain clients sets advertisers in a condition of inequality, and simultaneously threatens the successful development of the television market in Bulgaria."
