Bulgarian bTV and Global Vision Terminate Contracts

    SOFIA: After several disputes between bTV Media Group's leading channel bTV (owned by Central European Media Enterprises, www.cetv-net.com) has ceased broadcasts of two of the most popular programmes, both from production company Global Vision (www.globalvision-bg.com), Masters of the Air (Gospodari na Efira) and Full Madhouse, following ongoing disputes.

    Both programmes have been broadcast on bTV for the last three years. Masters of the Air is the domestic version of the Italian entertainment show Striscia la notizia . Full Madhouse is an original Global Vision creation.

    Accusing bTV in imposing censorship over them Global Vision's co-owners announced the withdrawal of the two shows from the channel. bTV denied all allegations and reported constant legal breaches by Global Vision, bringing a lawsuit against the company.

    Global Vision is considering a contract with another commercial channel in Bulgaria.
