PRODUCTION: Documentary Sofia’s Last Ambulance

{mosimage}SOFIA: A Bulgarian/Croatian/German coproduction, Sofia's Last Ambulance directed by Ilian Metev was presented at the 2011 Doc Launch organized by the Institute of Documentary Film in Jihlava . The documentary follows three ambulance workers struggling to save lives in Sofia's crumbling medical system. The film, which will be released in 52 minute and 85 minute versions, has a budget of 260,000 euros. Metev is the cinematographer as well as directing.

Sofia's Last Ambulance is produced by Sinisha Juricic of Nukleus Film (Croatia, www.nukleus-film.hr), Dimitar Gotchev of SIA Productions (Bulgaria, www.sia.bg), and Ingmar Trost of Sutor Kolonko (Germany).
