Shooting will also take place in Spain (Seville and Osuna) and Iceland, according to local media reports although there has not been an official announcement.
The production company Embassy Films Croatia, the local partner of the project, opened the call for extras on its Facebook page at tbe beginning of July. Croatiaweek.com quotes officials of Šibenik saying that the shooting will be in September. The date of the premiere is not yet known, but it could be next spring.
At the San Diego Comic-Con, a Game of Thrones Q&A session revealed that several new actors will join the project including Jonathan Pryce, Keisha Castle-Hughes, DeObia Oparei and Toby Sebastian.
The second and the third season of the series were shot in Dubrovnik in autumn 2011 and in 2012. The shooting for the fourth season the series was longer, 20 August - 20 September in Dubrovnik, and 20 September - 10 October in Split. Game of Thrones was one of the first beneficiaries of the cash rebate scheme guaranteeing the return of up to 20% of projects' qualifying expenditure which was implemented in Croatia in January 2012. The popular series had a big impact on screen tourism in Croatia.
