Cyta withdraws from digital TV license tendor

    Cyta (www.cyta.com.cy) has withdrawn its bid for the second digital TV license in Cyprus. Cyta withdrew when the bid reached €5 million.

    According to the Financial Mirror, Cyta's decision was based on problems within the company.

    Velister and LRG Enterprises remain as bidders for Cyprus's second digital TV license. The bid had reached €6.8 million as of the end of June 2010.
