The film is produced by MediaPro Pictures Praha (www.mediapropictures.cz) and coproduced by Nova TV (www.novatv.cz) and will be distributed by Bontonfilm (www.bontonfilm.cz). All three entities are owned by Central European Media Enterprises (www.cetb-net.com).

Filming, which began on 30 June 2012, will take place on location around the Czech Republic. Menzel also wrote the comedy about love and opera, and a man's lifelong love for soprano opera singers. The cast includes Slovak actor Martin Huba, Czech actress Libuse Safrankova, and Jan Hartl.
