Organised by the Prague based Institute of Documentary Film (IDF) the East Doc Platform is the largest documentary industry event in the region and is traditionally organized in association with the One World IHRDFF held from 7 to 16 March. This year East Doc hosted more than 400 guests, both Czech and international directors, producers, distributors, TV, fund and festival representatives, media representatives and general public. The 2016 Open Programme included the KineDok conference focused on innovative forms of distribution, the presentation Czech Docs… Coming Soon and several lectures and masterclasses of world-renowned documentary filmmakers. A total of 18 films that were screened at One World 2016 were supported by IDF activities in the past.
