Gatteo (www.filmstudiogatteo.cz), founded by Roman Synek as a construction company before it expanded into a film studio, is financing the 1 million Euro film through a Czech film grant of 300,000 Euros, and Slovak co-producer Arina (www.arinafilm.sk). The film was picked up for Czech distribution by Warner Bros. Czech Republic. The film will premiere during the Karlovy Vary film festival (www.kviff.com).

Gatteo producer Dana Synkova told FNE that the company is looking at two new productions. One is a Czech comedy, which is in script development. The other is a 3 million Euro co-production with France's Butterfly Productions and Belgium's Saga Film (www.sagafilm.be) based on Kafka's Metamorphosis.
