The country had over 2.4 million admissions, or 1.84 admissions per capita, in 2011. Eight domestic features were released in cinemas, with one, Lotte and the Moonstone Secret, a full length sequel to a popular family animation, reached sixth place in the annual box office report.
The share of domestic films in 2011 rose to 7%, up from a lowly 2% a year earlier.
The average ticket price stayed at 4.1 eur, up 40 cents from 2010.
