The biggest beneficiary is Taska Film which received 150,000 EUR for Aku Louhimies’ historical drama Eternal Road, lead produced by Finland’s Matila Röhr Productions and based on the novel by Finnish writer Antti Tuuri. The film will be shot in Estonia.
Digital Sputnik received 10,000 EUR to coproduce the Latvian-Polish-Estonian coproduction The Dawn, directed by Laila Pakalnina and lead produced by Hargla Company of Latvia.
Baltic Film Production has been granted 20,000 EUR for Close Relations. Ukraine, the Crisis, My Family, and I, a Latvian-German-Estonian-Russian documentary on the Ukrainian-Russian war by the Russian helmer Vitali Manski. Lead producer is Ego Media from Latvia.
Exitfilm got 10,000 EUR for another documentary coproduction with Latvia, Inga Can Hear, directed by Latvian director Kaspar Goba and telling the story of teenage Inga, the sole person in her family who is not deaf. Lead producer is Latvia’s Elm Media.
