In the 1990’s Georgia lost Abkhazia. Today, the Enguri River separates Abkhazia from the rest of Georgia. The last days of the conflict turned into hell for the Georgian population. The Enguri was one of those boats that saved the lives of hundreds of people. After 20 years, many of the refugees have lost hope of ever going back home. But Lado and Vakho dream of returning home by the Enguri.
Irakli Solomanashvili is producing through Nali studio. The budget is 50,000 EUR, Varazi told FNE. The project received production grants from the Georgian National Film Centre and the Adjare region. Shooting started in April 2014 and wrapped in June 2015. There were 60 shooting days. The film is set to be finished in October 2015.
