An Honourary Prometheus Prize was awarded to the Georgian filmmaker Merab Kokochashvili, whose acclaimed 1967 film Big Green Valley was screened at the festival. There was also a special focus on Hungarian film with On Body and Soul by Ildiko Enyedi opening the festival.
The festival was held in the Georgian capital from 4 to 10 December 2017. The festival closed with the Georgian feature Namme directed by Zaza Khalvashi and produced by Batumi Art-House Film Studio and Horizon. The film was supported by the Georgian National Film Centre.
