Fehér Isten/White God is a coproduction between Viktória Petrányi and Proton Cinema (www.protoncinema.hu) in coproduction with Pola Pandora (Germany), Chimney Pot (Sweden, www.chimneygroup.com), Filmpartners (Hungary, www.filmpartners.hu) , and with the support of Eurimages (http://www.coe.int/t/dg4/eurimages/default_en.asp), Film i Vast (www.filmivast.se) and ARTE/ZDF(www.arte.tv, www.zdf.de). The story of the adventures of a girl and a dog in a world where pedigree is a decisive factorreceived a production grant of 958,000 EUR/280m HUF from the Hungarian Film Fund and is set to begin shooting in March.
Utóélet/Afterlife portrays a pastor's family and focuses on the relationship between the father and his son, after the father's death. The film is produced by Ferenc Pusztai through KMH Film (www.kmhfilm.hu) in coproduction with Pécs Regional Film Fund. The project was a2011 MEDIA European Talent Prize Winner (http://europa.eu). Shooting will start in February, Ferenc Pusztai told FNE. The project received a preproduction grant of 650,000 EUR/190m HUF and has a budget of 1m EUR.
The Fund also approved script development as follows: 5,110 EUR/1.5m HUF for Szabadjárat produced by Service Film Positive (director to be confirmed), 17,033 EUR /5m HUF for Ruben Brandt by Milorad Krstic, produced by Ruben Brandt Kft, and 11,583 EUR/3.4m HUF for Kincsem, produced by Szupermodern Stúdió Kft.(director TBC).
The grants were decided mid-December 2012 and published in January 2013.
