In a closed invitation tender, the National Film Archive of Hungary (www.filmintezet.hu) received 33,000 euros for the digitalization of Hungarian films.
The Board also supported 62 scripts in total with €130,000. The recitients included Berlin and Locarno winner Benedek Fliegauf for his latest screenplay Galoca (€3300), White Palms director Szabolcs Hajdu for Mofetta (€4000), as well as the Cannes, Venice and Karlovy Vary winner Peter Gothar, Arpad Bogdan, Emmy-winner Elemer Ragalyi, and Academy Award nominated animation director Geza M. Toth.
The 2009 budget of the Motion Pictures Section at the NCFH is €1.2 million euros, approximately the same amount as 2008.
