The new plan calls for 1.6 billion forint to go to a state-owned entity, the Hungarian National Film Fund. The move was backed by Hungary's Prime Minister, Viktor Orban.
Vajna has now been asked to submit a three-year plan for the new fund.
Film production in Hungary had been halted when the former funding body, the MMKA, was unable to fulfil pledges of grants, creating a crisis among Hungarian producers.
