On 14th May, is the start of the world's most important film festival - Cannes International Film Festival, which is held for the 67th time. In addition to the festival's official competition program and established for the movies competing for the Palme d'Or, is held in one of the world's major film industry events - the Cannes Film Market.
This year, for the first time in the Latvian pavilion at the Cannes film market is organized in cooperation with the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIDA) and Latvia will be represented at the National Film Centre, Riga City Council Riga Film Fund and the Latvian Film Producers Association along with ten leading Latvian production studios.
