The numbers keep it on a par with LNT's (www.lnt.lv) 2007 year-long 19% share. Data supplier TNS Latvia reported competing commercial broadcaster TV3 held second place with 14.9%. Public broadcaster LTV1 was in fourth place with 10.5%, just behind upstart First Baltic Channel with 11%.
The TV channels are facing competition from new media emerging on the Latvian market, however. IPTV newcomer Lattelecom Interactive TV is to launch the country's first DTT platform this year.
