VILNIUS: Porno Melodrama, the first gay-themed Lithuanian film, has been release via free online distribution.
The film premiered at the Berlinale in 2011.
Director/producer Roman Zabaraukas said he made the film "in part a reaction to a homophobic ‘protection of minors' law passed in Lithuania." The film was produced by the director, RainStudio (Ksenija Koženkova, rainstudio.lt) and Ikifilmi (Finland) and received public funding grants.
