The Lithuanian documentary week, Expo Vivat el documental de Lituania, will present two programmes. Aqua Cine, presents the tradition of Lithuanian poetical documentary, which reflects the country's link to water. Maestros de Cine Documental which introduces documentaries that have been awarded at film festivals in Spain, including Spring by Valdas Navasaitis (awarded in the L´Alternativa festival in Barcelona) and Uku Ukai by Audrius Stonys (winner at the Documentary festival in Bilbao).
The series runs through 26 of August in the Lithuanian Pavilion, with a possible extension depending on demand. "In principle, we decided to conclude the week of Lithuanian documentary at the 26 of August, although this date can vary according to the interest of public. We also want to give several shows at night for the commissioners of the pavilions and the workers of Expo," explained the director of the Lithuanian Pavilion, Neringa Vegyte.
