The film about a mid-life crisis, stars young Lithuanian actors Dainius Gavenonis, Julija Goyd, Ramunas Cicenas, Viktorija Kuodyte, and Jonas Vaitkus.

The feature was produced by the Uljana Kim Studio and the French film production company Unlimited (producer Philippe Avril).

The film was sponsored in part by the Lithuanian Ministery of Culture (www.muza.lt), the Lithuanian Culture and Sport Support Foundation (www.ksrf.lt), and private sponsors. The budget of Perpetuum mobile was 600,000 euros. The film was shot in 36 days, in Vilnius and Lithuania Minor, Vente Cape.

The distribution company Acmefilm (www.acmefilm.com) will distribute the movie in Cinemas Vingis in Vilnius and Forum Cinemas Kaunas.

Perpetuum mobile is the second feature of Navasaitis, who is known for his poetical documentaries about the seasons in Lithuania: Autumn Snow (1992) made during his VGIK studies, followed by Spring (1997). The first feature, a Lituhanian-French co-production, The Courtyard (1999) was was screened at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and as part of the Director's Fortnight at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival.
