Farewell is produced by Donelos studija (Lithuania) with lead producer Tomas Donela (www.donelos-studija.com), WFDiF (Poland) under managing director Włodzimierz Niederhaus (www.wfdif.com.pl/), and Pal AV - Motion Pictures (the Netherlands) (www.pal-av.nl).

Farewell is described as an insightful contemporary feature set in present day Lithuania. The story of a man who comes ashore for the last time to see everyone he loves and cares for, to make peace with them and to say goodbye, features colourful characters in their search for place and meaning and exploration of the complexity and fragility of human bonds.

The film was financed in part by the Lithuanian Ministery of Culture (www.lrkm.lt) and the Lithuanian Culture and Sport Support Foundation (www.ksrf.lt), which contributed €580,000, WFDiF - Wytwórnia Filmów Dokumentalnych i Fabularnych which contributed €58,000, and Jos van der Pal Audio-Visual Productions, which contributed €48,000.

World sales are under negotiation. The Lithuanian release of the movie is planned for July 1, 2009.
