The film is a privately financed co-production between Latvia's Krukfilms (www.krukfilms.com ) and Hong Kong's October Pictures (www.octoberpictures.com ) with leading producers Linda Krukle, Chen On Chu and Martinsons.
The movie features Lithuanian music, film and theater star Andrius Mamontovas, who also composed the soundtrack. Japanese actress Kaori Momoi, who has worked with great directors including Akira Kurosawa, plays the lead.
Meed Films (www.meedfilms.com ) will distribute in Forum Cinemas theaters in Vilnius, Kaunas, Šiauliai, Panevėžys, and Cinamon theaters in Kaunas and Klaipėda. Later the movie will travel to Alytus, Mariampolė, Ukmergė and other towns of Lithuania.

Amaya premieres in Lithuania
