Broadband penetration and subscribers rose in Lithuania during the fourth quarter of 2011, but a decrease in fixed and mobile telephone subscribers led to an overall decline in the telecoms industry in Lithuania.
According to Telecom Paper, broadband subscriptions rose 11% over Q4 2011, to 878,000, and broadband penetration grew 27%. Both wireless and fixed broadband registered growth.
Digital TV subscribers rose 7% over third quarter, to 278,700, and pay TV revenues also rose 7%, to LTL 24 million.
Mobile revenues fell by 6% from quarter 3 to LTL 239.5 million.
The quarerly and annual report was issued by Lithuanian regulator RTT.
