Malta Broadcasting Authority head resigns

Kevin Aquilina he CEO of the Malta Broadcasting Authority, the government agency which oversees TV and radio broadcasting, will resign at the end of 2008.
Aquilina, a lawyer, has headed the Broadcasting Authority for ten years. According to a report in Malta Today, he made the personal decision to return to the academic world as a professor of law. Acquilina was quoted as saying that the broadcasting landscape has "more high-level offerings today," and that "progress was made in a variety of programs."
