Malta Today reports that locals are currently being hired as extras on a film to star Brad Pitt. The film, produced by Pitt's Plan B company, will begin shooting in Malta in mid-June.
The film is question is said to be World War Z, based on the 2006 novel by Max Brooks, with Pitt playing the central role of a United Nations agent.
Malta has already hosted two international film productions in 2011: The Emden Men and the latest film in the Asterlix and Obelix series.
