Polish Films Shortlisted for Oscars

    {mosimage}WARSAW: Two Polish films have made the cut for the shortlist of ten animated short films still in contention for Oscar nominations, out of 44 films originally under consideration.

    Magic Piano, directed by Martin Clapp and produced by Hugh Welchman (BreakThru Films), and Paths of Hate, directed by Damian Nenow (Platige Image), will be screened with the eight other short animated films prior to the announcement of nominated films on 25 January 2012.

    {mosimage}Magic Piano is part of The Flying Machine, a 3D live-action/animation family feature film directed by Martin Clapp and Geoff Lindsey, and co-directed by Marek Skrobecki.

    The 10-minute film Paths of Hate won awards at Comic-Con and Anima in Cordoba, and was nominated for the Cartoon d'Or.
