WARSAW: Polish director Marcin Wronais working on Daemon, an adaption of the Polish theater play Przylgnięcie (Adherance) written by Piotr Rowiecki about a paranormal presence.

The script is based on the motif of a ghost coming back from the afterlife to intervene in the affairs of the living, a topic which has a long tradition in Polish art, especially theater dramas. The story about a small town crook takes place in contemporary Poland.

The film is a Magnet Man Film Ltd. production, whose representatives told FNE that the project will be a coproduction between Poland, France, Great Britain and Israel. The shoot is planned for August-September 2013 on location in Warsaw and in the Małopolska region.

Wrona made his feature debut with My Flesh My Blood (www.opusfilm.com) which premiered at the Rome IFF in 2009. The Christening (www.odeon.com.pl), directed and coproduced by Wrona in 2010, was presented at the Toronto and San Sebastian film festivals. Daemon will be his third feature film.
