PRODUCTION: Director of Manhunt Shooting New Tragicomedy

CRACOW: Marcin Krzyształowicz has launched the shoot for his new project, Kindergarten Lady (Pani z przedszkola), described as a Woody Allen-inspired tragicomedy about love and psychoanalysis with an intellectual tone. Lensing began 27 September.

Krzyształowicz' previous war drama Manhunt was one of the most celebrated Polish titles of 2012.

KIndergarten Lady is produced by Skorpion Arte Film & TV Production with a planned budget of 3.1 million PLN (731,000 EUR) including 2 million PLN of production support from the Polish Film Institute. The shoot is based in Cracow and is expected to wrap by the end of October.

Krzyształowicz managed to gather an all-star cast for the project including Łukasz Simlat, Agata Kulesza, Adam Woronowicz, Karolina Gruszka, Krystyna Janda and Marian Dziędziel. The DoP is Michał Englert. The premiere is planned for fall 2014.
