"Three stories. Three homes. Three families," the director told FNE. "Poland. Serbia. Norway. Simple, universal stories about people are told from a different, non-anthropocentric perspective. We visit each home at a different time of the year. In each of the homes there is different light and density of the air. In each one – a different language. Yet, you understand everything."
Wieczur-Bluszcz directed Deyna in 2012, winning best debut, cinematography and actress awards at Koszalin Filmfestival Młodzi i Film that year.
Animals is in the early stages of development and is produced by Orbis Pictus Art Foundation with expectations of bringing on a foreign co-producer. The planned budget is 1.2 million PLN (280,000 EUR) and the project has won 116,800 PLN in
support from the Polish Film Institute (www.pisf.pl).
