Production company Opus Film informed FNE that the film sold over 300,000 tickets during the first four weeks in distribution in France, quadrupling the predictions of French distributor Memento Films which distributed the film on 88 copies. The French audience was almost triple the results in Poland where the film was distributed by Solopan with over 108,000 admissions by March 2014.

The film premiered in Italy on 13 March 2014 distributed by Parthénos Distribuzione and Lucky Red and will be distributed in Spain through Spanish distributor Caramel Films. Ida is the Polish-Danish coproduction from Opus Film and Phonex Film, in association with Portobello Pictures (UK),
