The German distributor is Edition Salzgeber who picked up the title at the 63rd Berlinale where the film received the prestigious Teddy Award. The film opened in France and Belgium on 8 January 2014.
In the Name Of... is a moving drama about a homosexual priest battling with his surroundings and struggling to find his identity. The lead actor Andrzej Chyra received the Best Actor Award at the 2013 Gdynia Film Festival.
The film was produced by MD4 in coproduction with Zentropa International Poland, Canal+ and Shot Szumowski. International sales are managed by Memento Films International. The film opened in Polish cinemas on 30 September 2013, distributed by Kino Świat and has over 190,000 to date.
