Ida premiered in the US on 2 May 2014 and on 9 May 2014 in Canada, distributed in both territories by Music Box Films. The film’s producer Opus Film informed FNE that the US distributor is screening Ida with a total of 34 copies, 12 of which were commissioned after a greater-than-anticipated interest in the film in its opening weekend.
The film was sold to over 30 countries with great admissions success also noted in France and Italy. The film starring Agata Kulesza and Agata Trzebuchowska was produced by Phoenix Film and Opus Film Production in association with Portobello Pictures.
