The film, a thriller starring Richard Dormer, is produced by Skopia Film and supported by the Polish Film Institute. This is Skolimowski’s fourth film to screen in competition in Venice.
The Czech Republic is represented in the main competition by Marguerite a France, Czech, Belgian coproduction directed by Xavier Giannoli. The period drama about an opera singer was coproduced by Czech production outfit Sirena Film and shot in the Czech Republic.
In the Orizzonti section the Interruption a Greek, French and Croatian coproduction directed by Yorgos Zois will screen. The film was coproduced in Croatia by JDP in association with Nukleus Film and supported by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre .
Romania and Bulgaria weigh in as coproducers of the Venice Critics Week Competition entry Banat/Il Viaggio an Italian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Macedonian coproduction directed by Adriano Valerio. The film is coproduced in Romania by Ada Solomon’s Parada Film and ARS Digital Studio in Bulgaria.
