Filip Bajon is taking a modern twist on the classic Polish Play Ms. Dulska by Gabriela Zapolska. His protagonist is Rainer Dulsky, a professor of psychiatry from Switzerland who embarks together with Melania, the granddaughter of Mrs. Dulska and a filmmaker on research to discover the history of her family.
The film was shot between January and February 2015. Włodzimierz Niderhausis producing through WFDiF with a budget of 1.2 m EUR / 5.3 m PLN of which 560,000 EUR/ 2.5 m PLN from the Polish Film Institute.The City of Lublin is also supporting.
The star-studded cast includes: Krystyna Janda, Katarzyna Figura, Maja Ostaszewska, Mateusz Kościukiewicz, Sonia Bohosiewicz, Katarzyna Herman, Olgierd Łukaszewicz and Władysław Kowalski.
Filip Bajon, a highly praised Polish filmmaker and director of KADR Studio, has sucessfuly brought several Polish literary classics on the big screen including Maiden Vows (KALEJDOSKOP Film Studio) and The Spring To Come (MessageFilm, Apple Film Production).
Damaged will open in Polish cinemas on 2 October 2015. Kino Świat is distributing. The world sales are managed by Kino Świat and WFDiF.
