The story takes place in a small Swedish town where two Polish emigrants try to build a new life. They have difficulties adapting and only their daughter Ula speaks the language. A social worker decids to take her away from them, but her reasons are far from professional.
Dariusz Gajewski and Michał Godzic wrote the script. The film stars Agnieszka Grochowska, Bartłomiej Topa, Barbara Kubiak and Ewa Fröling, and the international cast includes Tanja Lorentzon, Gerhard Hoberstorfer, Jan Englert and Magdalena Boczarska.
The film was shot in Stockholm, Warsaw and Pobierowo in the fall 2014. It is produced byKuba Kosma and Dariusz Gajewski through TAKFILM in coproduction with TVN, Agora, East of the West Cinema AB (Sztokholm), and LSW.
The budget was 2.3 m EUR / 9.7 m PLN of which 830,700 EUR / 3.5 m PLN was received from the Polish Film Institute. The film will be released in the Polish cinemas by Next Film on 16 October 2015.
